Every year, Virginia Mentoring Partnership celebrates National Mentoring Month by recognizing outstanding mentors and mentoring programs at our Annual Virginia Mentoring Awards event.
On Tuesday, March 9th, The Honorable Dwight C. Jones, Mayor of the City of Richmond and mentoring advocate, delivered an inspiring keynote address to a room of over 250 mentors, mentoring program providers, school personnel, legislative advocates, and community members in the Grand Ballroom of the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond.
The awards luncheon was followed by 4 workshops: Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring Programs, Building Resiliency in Youth, Volunteer Management, and Teens & Technology. It was a great day for mentoring!
