MENTOR

For more than a decade, MENTOR/The National Mentoring Partnership has been working to expand the world of quality mentoring.

As the nation’s lead advocate and resource for mentoring initiatives nationwide, MENTOR works with a network of partners, including local and state Mentoring Partnerships to provide support to mentoring programs in the field.

In 1993, Virginia Mentoring Partnership was created in conjunction with MENTOR and Virginia Commonwealth University in order to serve and expand quality mentoring initiatives in Virginia. Today, VMP works closely with MENTOR to help develop quality standards for the mentoring community, mobilize the Virginia mentoring movement to take action on mentoring legislation, raise public awareness, and implement the use of new technology, such as MentorPRO.
